It's here! We're rolling out our third Alludo-authored game, Microsoft Innovative Educator, over the next few weeks. The game introduces teachers to the Office 365 suite, including basic apps like Word, Powerpoint, Excel and OneDrive, as well as newer apps like OneNote and Sway. We've even got an introduction to Minecraft for educators who are looking to bring coding into the classroom.
The game was inspired by Murrieta Valley Unified School District, who asked us to help them build a personalized PD course that would help their teachers become Microsoft Innovative Educators. "MIEs use Microsoft tools in the classroom and have learned the fundamentals of applying technology in education. This is the first step on an exciting journey of joining a professional network of enthusiastic educators who come together to learn, share, and grow."
To become an MIE, teachers complete activities and courses on the Microsoft Education platform, earning points and badges along the way. 1,000 points earns teachers their MIE title, but there are more ways they can earn advanced titles, like MIE Trainer, MIE Expert, and Skype Master Teacher. Click here for more information on all of the available MIE programs.
If you're part of an Alludo district and want a sneak peek, you can find Level 1 in the catalog. If you are interested in learning more, check out our Alludo demo game or contact us for a call. Stay tuned as we release more levels over the course of the next few weeks. Game on!
