Redlands USD went from 15 to 90% PD engagement in one month!

Redlands USD educational leadership, made up of 20,000 students and teachers, needed to deliver on a requirement of offering every certificated staff member with the opportunity for six hours of professional development on their own time outside of the workday.

Historically they relied on in-person professional development which resulted in low professional learning engagement and unique learner needs not being met. Add to this substitute teachers – which there is now an extreme shortage of – being essential to in-person training. This combined with the educators’ broad adoption of technology over the last two years led them to evaluate digital learning resources and solutions. In March 2022, Redlands USD chose a personalized professional development program built on Alludo, Redlands Real-time Actionable Individualized Learning (RAIL).

When Redlands USD started its journey to offer asynchronous learning to its 1,300 teachers, a colleague recommended Redlands school leaders to Alludo. After seeing a demo, Redlands USD quickly saw that the Alludo personalized professional learning platform was not only visually pleasing but also more engaging than other tools they evaluated.
